  1. We recently took the plunge and bought our teenager his first phone. We felt it was time since he is going out a bit more nowadays and we wanted to have the peace of mind that he will be able to call us or 911 at any time without asking someone to use a phone.
We opted for a NET10 prepaid phone because their pricing, ease of use and great coverage makes it the ideal candidate for a first phone.
We also used this experience to teach some valuable financial literacy/management. We upped his allowance a bit but he has to buy his own minutes and then make them last through the month. He quickly learned to carefully watch those minutes as they get used.

  3. Did you ever compare cell phone companies before you purchased a new cell phone for yourself? If no, then do it now. When you compare cell companies you come to know about their products and services more evidently. This definitely helps in making the right purchase.it is vital to compare cell phone companies before you go for their product and also the level of customer service is most important.

  4. I got a Straight Talk phone from Walmart. It's just $45 a month for unlimited talk and text! Very nice. It's from Tracfone but uses Verizon's network. Very cool!
